HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES
Employers, self-employed persons, persons in control of workplaces (where construction activities take place) and principal contractors all have obligations under the Act to provide a safe and healthy workplace that minimizes the risk of injury and illness to their workers, themselves and any other persons who come on or near the workplace.
Workers and other persons at workplaces also have obligations under the Act such as complying with instructions given for workplace health and safety and properly using personal protective equipment (PPE).
