Since the development of NMR spectrometer, it is impossible to deny the important contributions which it has made to Chemistry, Physics, Medicine and many other disciplines. It is essentially unparalleled by any other analytical technique available in the field of Chemical Sciences, as a flexible probe of molecular structure and characterization.The use of NMR Spectroscopy has grown up distinctly and recent developments in NMR applications and software give us greater flexibility to work on the structure and activity of different molecules.
The NMR spectroscopy facility at I.C.C.B.S. provides access to state of the art NMR spectrometers instrumentation which includes twelve Bruker AVANCE and AVANCE III NMR spectrometers with topspin 3.0 at 300, 400, 500 and 600 MHz with cryo probes (5mm and 3mm) and LC attachment. These spectrometers are running round the clock and helping in the study of structure and function of biological macromolecules, as well as small organic molecules. The Center also offers extensive training in basic and advanced NMR experiments to users, operators and engineers on nominal cost.
